Sound engineering and technical assistance for the fourth season of the programme

The Oh Happy Day programme on TV3 is a game show in which choirs of up to twelve persons compete. This involves both solo and choral singing, so it was essential to blend these voices and mix the sound to an excellent standard. The challenge was to achieve perfect sound engineering for up to 28 people including choirs, jury and presenter.

Sono was tasked with rental of professio – nal microphone equipment and technical support. In order offer the maximum quality necessary for this type of scena – rio, a wireless Shure ULXD4 micropho – ne system, was used, for a maximum of 28 frequencies, which operates on petaca ULXD transmitters, DPA headset microphones and handheld units. The sound engineering was completed with L’Acoustics 108P and BB15P equipment.

Sono took care of technical assistance for the programme for the ten live shows on the TV3 stage, plus the recording of the special programme for Sant Jordi (Saint George) and the final. There were also four days of castings to be produced, where were carried out in the AC Forum hotel Barcelona (microphone system, set up and technical testing).
